Go Imagination offered their first class in August, 2013. Founder Jill Hoover had been looking for a programming class for her young son but couldn’t find anything for the under-10 group. She decided to try a pilot run of a Python programming/ Minecraft summer camp for 7-10 year olds. She immediately had the initial eight slots filled
Go Imagination offered their first class in August, 2013. Founder Jill Hoover had been looking for a programming class for her young son but couldn’t find anything for the under-10 group. She decided to try a pilot run of a Python programming/ Minecraft summer camp for 7-10 year olds. She immediately had the initial eight slots filled and proceeded to have a ball. Children today are fluent in computer, and voraciously ate up the curriculum in no time. Following the camp, Jill opened after-school classes to great success. Today, classes and clubs can be found in both STEM and humanities. Meetups are held either in person (California Bay Area) or via zoom.

Originally from Montana, Jill Hoover moved to California to attend college and still resides in the Bay Area. She holds a BA in English from Stanford University. She will also be graduating in May of 2024 with a master's in psychology from Harvard University Extension School. Jill is passionate about customized education and following the child's interests. She believes learning can be fun even while being challenging. She is an enthusiastic poet and writer and volunteers as a costume designer for local theaters. She is mother to three grown children.
